Participants can expect to learn about story structure, plot, characterisation and the ingredients to help bake a successful picture book story!
This hands-on and comprehensive introduction to this appealing book genre also includes creating a storyboard, a dummy, publishing information and one on one time with tutors during the workshop - to help you develop your story idea.
Workshops are usually run over 2 days over a weekend, held in the Wairarapa. Course booklet and refreshments provided. Suitable for adults 16yrs+.
COST: $150 pp
The workshop is co-run by Tania Atkinson, an author from Greytown, and Viv Walker an illustrator/author from Carterton. Both have published several books, via trade publishers and through self publishing.
